European Commission - AI Act Advisory Forum

The Internet and Communication Policy Center has been selected as a member organisation of the European Commission’s AI Act Advisory Forum, contributing to the implementation of the EU Artificial Intelligence Act through research-based expertise on digital governance, AI regulation and fundamental rights.

The Internet and Communication Policy Center is pleased to announce that it has been selected as a member organisation of the AI Act Advisory Forum of the European Commission.

The Center will be represented in the AI Act Advisory Forum by Nicola Palladino , member of the Internet and Communication Policy Center and scholar working on digital governance, artificial intelligence regulation, cybersecurity, ethics of AI and the transformation of public decision-making processes in the digital environment.

The AI Act Advisory Forum is part of the governance framework established to support the implementation of the European Union’s Artificial Intelligence Act. It brings together representatives from different sectors, including academia, civil society, industry, SMEs and startups, with the aim of providing independent expertise and qualified input to the European Commission, the AI Office and the bodies involved in the enforcement and application of the AI Act.

ICPC’s participation in the Forum represents an important recognition of the Center’s research activity in the fields of Internet governance, digital sovereignty, emerging technology regulation and the protection of fundamental rights in the digital ecosystem.

At a time when the European Union is shaping one of the most advanced regulatory frameworks for artificial intelligence worldwide, ICPC will contribute to the Forum’s work by bringing its interdisciplinary expertise and its long-standing engagement with the political, legal and social implications of digital technologies.
